Season's Tweetings Blog Hop

Hi Friends!!
Thank you for stopping by for the Honey Bee Stamps Season's Tweetings Blog Hop. The Honey Bee Stamps Holiday Release is now available in the store. Affiliate links provided at no cost to you. Thank you for your support.

For today's projects, I created a fun winter scene using the Season's Tweetings stamp set and coordinating dies. For the background of the card, I used the Tim Holtz layering tree stencil with Peeled Paint Oxide Ink.

Next I took my Tim Holtz blending tool and blended a soft sky with Broken China Oxide Ink. At the very top, I hit the edges harder to give it a cloudy affect.

After getting the sky completed, I cut out the Hills border dies to create the look of snowy hills for my birds. I also used the Tim Holtz blending tool with Broken China Oxide Ink to create a little color on the snowy hills.

I stamped the bird images with Ranger Archival Ink, and colored the images in with Prismacolor pencils. Once the images were finished up, I used the Sakura Glaze Black gel pen to dot their eyes to make them pop! Lastly, I added a layer of Glitter Nuvo drops "Fresh Snowfall" to the top of the snowy hills for a little sparkly fun!!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Be sure to visit each blog & leave a comment, you don't want to miss out on the fun prize!!! We will be giving away a $50 gift card to the Honey Bee Stamps store.

World Cardmaking Day with Honey Bee Stamps & Chibitronics

Welcome Crafty Friends!
Thank you so much for stopping by for a fantastic World Cardmaking Day Blog Hop. Honey Bee Stamps & Chibitronics have joined together to celebrate today in a big way! I hope you enjoy the project I created today. (Affiliate links are used below, thank you so much for your support. It is appreciated!)

I was in the Holiday mood when I started thinking about my project, so I decided to play around with our fun Christmas themed sets from Honey Bee Stamps.

First I picked the images that I wanted to use and put them in my Misti to make sure to get a crisp image when I stamped.

I then took my Distress Oxide Inks and created a snowy sky for the cardbase.

I played around with how I was going to lay out all the images after I copic colored them. I also used my Marvy Uchida Snow Marker to create snow falling & embossed the snowflakes from the stamp sets in glitter white twinkle embossing powder from WOW to create additional sparkle.

Next, I started to work on lining up the copper tape for the inner working of the light and battery from the Chibitronics Starter Set.  I premarked where my star was and where I wanted to *push* for the light to shine.

Then I added all the foam tape from the Scotch Foam Tape Roll so that I could create a pocket for the battery so the light would not stay on constantly.

Here is the final version showing the light shining with full lights on.

And here is the project with the light shining with my interior lights off.

I used the following items:

Flakey Friends Stamp set & coordinating Honey Cut dies

More Flakey Friends & Honey Cut dies

Let it Snow Stamp set

Chibitronics Starter Set

Chibitronics Colored Light set

Marvy Uchida Snow Marker

Stick It Adhesive Sheets

Scotch Foam Tape Roll

Distress Oxide Inks: Broken China & Salty Ocean

Be sure to leave comments along the hop. Honey Bee Stamps is giving away a $25 Gift Certificate to one winner & Chibitronics is giving away 1 Starter Kit to a winner along the hop.

My project for today is using the Happy Fall Y'all stamp & coordinating Happy Fall Y'all Honey Cut die sets.
I started by stamping a bunch of the sunflowers in my Misti. I used the Lawn Fawn Copic Friendly Black Ink. This helped me get the images stamped out super quickly.

Next I started coloring the images with my Copic Sketch Markers. For the leaves & stems, I used YG03, YG63, YG67 & YG99. For the sunflowers I used Y15, Y19, Y38, YR23, YR23, YR27, E29, E49, E57 and E79.

I diecut out all of the colored images using my Sizzix Big Shot machine. I also used the Honey Bee Stamps Stipple Hexagon Background die & the Honey Bee Stamps Double Stitched Frame Honey Cuts dies to create interest and a frame around the edge.

Thanks so much for hopping along. Don't forget to comment to be entered to win.

Honey Bee Stamps & Ellen Hutson UWF Campaign: Sending Sunshine

Hi Friends!!
I am so excited to be participating in the blog hop to celebrate the Sending Sunshine set!

For today's projects, the first card I created was a sending sunshine bright and happy card. I am a native Houstonian and this set couldn't come at a better time! My beloved city, well a lot of our state is a disaster area. My heart breaks for my fellow Texans & this was a bright spot in a very dismal time. Please read below for information on what Honey Bee Stamps is doing to support Texas!!!! Affiliate links are provided below, a portion of the proceeds will be donated back to my community for the Disaster Recovery.
For this card I used the Honey Bee Stamps layering Sunburst stencil and some Moonstone Nuvo Glimmer Paste to create the fun shimmery sunburst! I tinted it yellow by using a little Distress Ink Refill dropper in fossilized Amber.
The Stitched Cloud Border Honey Cuts are so perfect to layer. I chose to split them up for a totally different look, but they are stitched inside & out so that you can layer them. You will notice a tint on the edges, I used Distress Oxide Ink to lightly ink the edges in peacock feathers. It added a slight touch of blue to brighten up the borders of the clouds.
I used the coordinating dies to cut the Sending Sunshine Sentiment out of yellow cardstock. I then added Nuvo Crystal Glaze on top of the sentiment to give it additional dimension and shine. What a fun set!

For my second card I used another set released by Honey Bee Stamps. This card I used the A2 Sunburst Coverplate die and the Ray of Sunshine stamp set.

I used all Distress Oxide Inks to shade the sun. (Candied Apple & Fossilized Amber) I love the look of light to dark for the sun.

Next, I cut the word sunshine from the coordinating Ray of Sunshine Honey Cuts die set and added a layer of Nuvo Crystal Glaze to it for additional dimension. Don't you love the shadow for this die??!!

Also, I want to mention that Honey Bee Stamps is Sending Sunshine to Texas.

Melissa, the Honey Bee Stamps owner made this gorgeous card in support of this campaign.  For the State of Texas and helping with the recovery, she is donating a portion of the sales to the JJ Watt Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund. This fund gives 100% of all donations back to those in need.
